Paykan volleyball club is reportedly ready to sign Iranian international setter Saeid Marouf.

Free agent Marouf, who is arguably one of the best setters in the world, parted the ways with Shahrdari Urmia last season.

On 27 December 2014, Marouf signed a one-year contract with Russian Super League champion Zenit Kazan with an option for a one-year extension.

The contract is worth over 1 million dollars, making Marouf one of the world's highest-paid volleyball players.

He was also linked with a move to Modena in Serie A but the Italian team is facing financial difficulties.

Paykan also wants to sign Amir Ghafour and Nikolay Nikolov.
